In 2004, Mikey Pedroza & Nikki Marvin met when they were paired in a Mix & Match dance contest. They danced together for the first time and won that contest. Something special formed that night between their shared passion and understanding for dancing.

 

In their extensive partnership they have since trained, performed, competed, and taught all over the world while staying the best of friends. They continue to learn and push themselves in new directions in order to grow as dancers and artists.

 

Maintaining a solid foundation while searching for the creative expression that is obtained by two dancers on the same vibe, is the “magic” they strive for. They encourage everyone to discover the meaning of the dance for themselves but always carry with them the history of this great African American dance.
